Well, living in the US is great, but 90% of the rest of the world think were all fat and evil bullies...
Sigh, Our president has the lowest approval rating since Nixton (water gate affair, for those lacking US history knowage) It's really sad cuase Bush gives conseratives a bad name so now democrats are gonna take over... They already got the senate and the house... soon the presidentcy... If you can't tell, i'm conserative(mostly)...

Speaking of Ireland, the English still cling to northern Ireland. They should just give it bad to the Irish (i'm 20% Irish).

Speaking of Ireland, the English still cling to northern Ireland. They should just give it bad to the Irish (i'm 20% Irish). Absolutely not. There's no practical reason for it at all, only the romantic ideal of a united Ireland (which never actually existed because before the English came, the country were just a load of of clans at war). The North/South divide has existed for hundreds of years, it's not the English "clinging on." Since the 17th century there's been a strong unionist (those who support a link with Britain) feeling in Northern Ireland. Most intelligent Irish people don't want Northern Ireland anyway, and why would we? We're doing quite well on our own - we have the best economy in the EU and one of the best in the world. Bringing in the North would screw all that up. The only people who want it are the IRA and Sinn Féin and they've, mainly, a bunch of criminals and fanatics. I'm not having a go at you or anything, just I find there's often a lot of misconception outside Ireland regarding the issue. People seem to think Ireland's like how Germany was, with the "evil" England holding onto a portion of the country, as the people wait for the day they can rip down the borders. Germany was divided for 45 years, Ireland 400 years. It's not a divided country; it's two different countries.

Well, i'm sure you know more about this issue than I, being you live in Ireland. It makes more sense to me that Ireland would like to be whole, and during those 400yrs their has always been those who wanted to see Ireland United. It also makes sense to me that Scotland would like to be it's own nation too, although I kno less of the issue.

There have been a lot of people, true, and unfortunately they got the spotlight. The average person just didn't care. And like I said, there never was a United Ireland to begin with. I don't know much about Scotland but I think I remember there being a referendum years ago where they decided to stay part of Britain. I might have dreamt it.

"Highest obesity rates is Europe..." That's nothing, try highest in the world! Yay US! lol, one outta every 4 people are over weight, although I think that out dated %, I think it's higher now... Where I live it's more like 35%, heheh, In my family only 2 of us outta 5 are not over weight (i'm one of the 2 not over weight). It's because of fast food we have sure high high obesity rates. Cause the US has most fast food "restaurants".
