A movie coming out called the "Golden Compass" it looks very good, I am interested alot by it, seems great but it spread Atheism. Now you all know I'm a very liberal Catholic, but the author has (and its been confirmed by snopes.com) said he wants to kill God in the minds of children. I'm not saying God will smite you if you will go, but to stop perhaps the next one being made DO NOT go. Prove that the Communities of Christ, (all demoninations) can stand up and triumph over blasphemy and Atheism! What is better a movie about a compass made out of gold (which you can buy yourself and have a made up fantasy adventure with some other geeky friends) or having the smily be happy with you?

I heard it was a book, too. Isn't a new "fad" priests have to go to book stores and buy books that offend christianity and burn them? MAybe that's just a joke, but I heard it somewhere online....

Oh. So, will we be burning un-baptized babies then? Because I don't feel like saying "dead baby" jokes online right now...

Wow....listening to insane, irrational, fundamentalists like yourselves makes me laugh. Owtopia if you followed the beliefs of your religion than you would accept other ideas and beliefs. You make me chuckle.

I'm thinking of seeing it , my teacher says it sends subliminal messages, lol, if I can induce a state of when I lose my breath and when it hard to breathe, I doubt those messages can get into me. The Catholic League, a group who is so far right its not even funny, said its bad, I'm Catholic but I'm left... as long as it isn't a documentary about how Atheism is *insert here thats good* I see no problem with seeing it, just seeing these kids make a big deal over it is funny, priceless.
lol

Well I'm Jewish and even we always get pushed by the Nazis,Muslims, and even the French (They're always anti-semitic read alfred dreyfuss and not helping Israel in the 2006 conflict) this is actually the first time that theres a Kids Atheist Movie in public. Don't like Atheists always ruins our fun if we say something about god

Agreed Aegypto about the Atheist comment. But the Israeli conflict I myself am not fond of, why help a country who has a state religion instead of freedom being surrounded by Muslims? Couldn't we give Hawaii to Israel? Israel was not its own soveriegn state for a very long time (even before the fall of Rome), why give them land now by stealing it by people who owned it for years?

It was sarcasm. Hawaii can't accommodate the Jews. From the sound of things it's hardly bearable for tourists. Snap.

lol there goes the Hawaiian stereotype. I also read that bit on Dreyfus, but anti-semetism is pretty much over in France. Now, like with the rest of Europe, far-right people are anti-Muslim. And for the refusal of support in the 2006 war- it's foreign policy, and France has a lot of former colonies there.
As for that atheist comment, I'm not amused as I accept all religions as long as it doesn't interfere with common sense. Yes I am atheist.
BTW a friend of mine once went to a Catholic school a long time ago. And guess what, from what he said they were preaching about being tolerant and everything while at the same time banning Harry Potter books and burning Pokemon cards
