I made an Age of Empires version of that. It was great. I do that so many times. I've made maps of so many battles I read in textbooks or see in movies, such as the Lord of the Rings battle where the orcs storm that one huge castle. I also made a version of the 300, 1 year before the 300 came out. Unfortunately, because of lag, it was more like the 35 (vs 100).

lol good try Debro, but the only time Japan and Holland fought eachother was in WW2 over Indonesia.
I also do LOTS of RTS versions of things that inspire me. Most of this was done in the RTS game Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds (it's old, but I like it), like a Risk version, Alexander the Great, Vikings, and other ones I can't remember. And Led Zeppelin, the LOTR thing is the Battle of Minas Tirith (because I have Lord of the Rings Battle For Middle Earth 2 though, I can actually attack the 'real' Minas Tirith, but I prefer Isengard over Mordor).
Note, Archaix is still the closest with the true answer.

I remember that I downloaded a version of Minas Tirith (again, for AoEII) once and it was fully decked with at least two thousand units -well above the usual 500 units. It also included real sound files from the movie and edited landscape. I couldn't play it though, because it lagged really, really, really badly.
I once made a pretty good map of Europe and one of the British Isles. If I'd have known about the fan site for AoEII I would have uploaded it, because they're always looking for maps on there. I also made two Vietnam campaigns, the first on the side of the Americans and the other on the side of the Viet Cong. The first had glitches but the second was pretty good.
Back onto the actual topic, though: I give up.

The Russo-Japanese war. 1905. The first time a European power was defeated by an Asian nation. This was a huge humiliation for Russia at the time. The Russian navy travelled around the country for an entire month only to be utterly defeated in one afternoon
Anyone who wants to ask a question may post

I was going to ask: 'Who said, "My horse, my horse, my kingdom for a horse!"' But since you made a thread parodying it and since it's not historically accurate I'll have to ask something else...
...Claus von Stauffenberg was killed on the 21st July 1944. Why was he killed?

For the July 20th 1944 assassination attempt to kill Hitler. (Failed because hitler's desk saved him from the bomb blast).
Yay for studying WW2 in history!
