I was kidding, hence Reverend Al Gore.
What I meant was the Reverend Al Sharpton. That's the biggest guy that Bush defeated.

Actually on technicality LZ's right!
The question should have been phrased: 'Who was the Democrat candidate for the American 2004 Presidential Election? Clue: it's JOHN KERRY'.

Is it the Reverend Ralph Nader?

Hm.Ok, i'm too confused now with the names and reverends....Kerry was the answer, but probably the question wasn't correct.

It's okay. The question should probably have been worded, "Who was the chief competitor for Bush in the 2004 presidential election?" John Kerry! Although the answer's already been given, I think I'll jump in and take it, so that I can ask the next question! How many different "nations" have ruled over Texas? This is a bit of a trick question (and its coming from me, a professional Texas historian).

I knew the question and the answer I was just poking fun at its simplicity.
Of course we all now know the answer is the Reverend John Kerry

Hm, interesting question. So. I believe it was french, english, spanish, mexican and the part of the US. That's 5, but i'm sure it isn't that simple. Good guess - Texas was/is part of all five nations. However, there are more... and I'm not counting Native American nations. In that case, I would have to add more than a dozen.
