The problem is, I agree with both sides of the Gay adoption argument. I think that people should have the right to adopt no matter what their orientation is, but I also can see that the child would be ridiculed and possibly beaten. Now Primus makes a valid point when he mentioned that if our society was able to accept homosexuality, then the child would not be beaten/ridiculed. If everyone could just accept it, then I would be all for gay adoption, no questions asked. Casinecro just sounds like a Conservative Fundamentalist Christian Extremist....

Well, hence the fundamental part. I was just saying that I really don't about gay marrages, but I don't think they should be able to adopt since the number of people against homosexuality would probably grow.

I doubt it would grow, it might even contribute to the acceptance of homosexuality.

Gays should have the same rights as everyone else! In today's society there should be no second class citizens, whom have fewer rights.

If we treat homosexuals as aliens and take away rights then they become a lesser man to us! But all men are equal (and women). Everyone deserves the same rights. Sure getting the crap beaten out of the kid is the only negetive point I see but still, after 10, 20 years it will stop if those motherf**king Fundamentalists would stop making a big deal about homos, God loves them too! I may be being the unexpected picture of a Catholic (a liberal Catholic instead of a Conservative one like the Pope and Cardinals), but God made us all, He put in that little strand of gene that makes you a homosexual in there. If God thought homosexuals were horrible he would of never made the possibility to make them and since no human made chemical makes homosexuals then even they are accepted by God. If you were the producer of a game would you put in a part that you didn't like? I say that God does not care since He made the gays and lesbians too! Jesus said love everyone not only straight people, and there were homosexuals in His time too!

I agree, God loves all of his creations, but doesn't it say somewhere in the Bible that being gay is a venial sin (a sin that's bad, but not to bad ex. stealing, watching porn, ect)? I mean, I think that gays can't help being... well, gay, so I don't know exactly how that fits into there. But maybe that's an entirely different disscussion. too, gays.

It's okay if they are gay, just as long as they don't show it, like if a gay guy walked up to you and said,"I love you." and then tried to kiss you.

You see owtopia, we need to get equality in our society is a straight person is allowed to do that then a gay person should be too.

But open-homosexuality is against the laws of the Church, which I believe in firmly. And, trying to kiss, touch, etc. someone against their will is illegal for strait and gay people.

Okay, well this arguement has turned to religious opinions which are generally completely irrational... although I can agree with some liberal religious views (like Primus') but not for the same reasons. To sum up my reasoning, it's just only fair to allow gays to have equal rights. It would be inhumane not to.

Now see, right there, that's what some people call a "Stereo-type". No "real" gays will actually try to touch, kiss ect. you in broad daylight, in public, without your permission. The media and some cartoonissts have made all gays look like people who only think about sex, "touching", and other things best locked away behind bedroom doors (Although, I don't want to participate in that particular stuff with guys). The reason I said "Real" before is because some people might pretend to be gay for their sick kicks. But anywho, if the church really is all-knowing and true disciples of God, then they should see that gays are just like other people, they just "Love their Neighbor" a little too much. A person is a person, and being gay or straight isn't really up to them. I mean, I personally don't know of anybody who's gay, but my parents have told me that they knew gay people, and they really wanted to be straight, so that kinda clears up whether they want to be gay on purpose...

Let's just all agree that being gay is alright if you don't show it.

Not marriages, it would be wrong for the state to force the Religious Groups (by Religious Groups I mean any religious organization; Hindu, Christian, Jewish) to give marriages to homosexual people, they are private organizations, they have their rights, and that would be breaking the Church and State law in the US. The State (Country) should allow their own ceremony (forgot what its called) for marriage to be used for homosexuals.
Kissing and touching someone without the other's consent is sexual assault, to different degrees, if the person goes really far, rape. I know a gay person and a bisexual person... both are perverted, its probably become they don't feel accepted in society, we can fix that by being more open to homosexuality.
