Alright, I am starting up a Sci-Fi RPG as the title prominently implies. It will be heavily based off of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, and obviously, I will be the Game Master. If you wish to gain a better understanding of the universe before you play, just skim through this link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warhammer_40k#BackgroundSign up for the RPG by responding with this completed form: Character Name:Race:Age:Physical Description:Attitude/Personality Summary:Background Summary:Here are the races that you may choose from, and brief descriptions to go along with each: Human: Pretty obvious. They are jacks-of-all-trades and learn very quickly. Eldar: Think of them as Space Elves. They are quick, agile, and nimble people. Dark Eldar: An eldar, but generally cruel and they have darker physical features. Tau: Sort of like a cross between an Eldar and a Human. They are not quite as intelligent as humans, but they are more agile. Yet, they are not as agile as the eldar. They generally look like blue, bald humans. Almost slightly fish-like. Kroot: Slender, humanoid beast-like creatures. They are not large in stature, and look a bit beast-like. They root from the jungles of Tau planets. Ork: Does it really need much explaining? They are a few feet taller than humans, but generally pretty unintelligent. They are also ridiculously muscular and green-skinned and have a very war-like mentality. So get Role Playing and reply with your characters!

That link saved my life
BTW: Eldar? Ironic that Warhammer and Tolkien both use it for a type of Elves
Character name: Morgomir
Race: Eldar, from the Craftworld Il-Kaithe
Age: dunno; thousands of years I suppose.
Physical Description: Guessing Eldar look like humans, long pale grey hair, male, a little tall, quite thin, and pale skin.
Attitude/Personality Summary: Morgormir shows a sense of honor when fighting, moreso than the regular Elder. (also his downfall). A little aloof, cold, and extremely bitter.
Background Summary: Morgomir harbors some mistrust toward Humans, and that he had the mental age of a teenager at the time of the Fall of the Eldar. His greatest foe is Chaos, and is willing to fight with anyone against them. His first Path was that of the Warrior, with the Striking Scorpions, Dire Avengers and last the Shining Spears. Having briefly served upon Prince Yriel's corsair fleet, he wishes to explore the universe. Equipped with a Jetbike for transport, a Power Sword and a shurikan pistol

Oh woops sorry Kardas. Yeah, your character seems fine, not many suggestions I can make.
Here's mine:
Character Name: Vorn Race: Human Age: 30 Physical Description: Tall and physically fit with battle-worn skin. (scars, rough areas, etc.) Brown hair, steely blue eyes. Attitude/Personality Summary: Doesn't say much, but he is quite intelligent. He can be very sarcastic and condescending at times, but he's more comfortable within the confines of his own mind. Background Summary: Was drafted into the Cadian Imperial Guard and served in many combat campaigns. He was lucky enough to get a ticket out of the Guard on the holiday, Emperor's Day. He now wanders around looking for adventure, or something interesting to do.

Character name: K'yen (pronounced Kayen) Stotski Race: Dark Eldar Age: 86 Physical Description: Tall (about 6 foot 2) and...well...dark. Brown eyes, and about medium strength. Has long legs, but not as agile as he used to be, and he tells nobody what happened, though it haunts him periodically. Attitude/Personality Summary: Generally decent towards people, but don't get him mad. Very powerful, but his movements sometimes get sluggish. Has a somewhat cynical outlook on life. Background Summary: Was kicked out of his family at the age of 6, and had to fend for himself.
I still need more understanding, but I'll wing it. I have some experience role-playing...not much, but some...D&D.

No one knows the extent of his injuries, he hasn't been seen out of the suit.

Kazzer, when does the role-playing start?
And what weapons are used?

Depends on your faction. Your dark elder would maybe have some sort of energy shooter type thing.

It seems I'm the only Eldar. What weapons do they use? I've only given my character a sword.

They use swords (of course I may be a bit off, I know Warhammer 40k from the games only) Swords are used quite a bit, swords and guns. Its probably an agile fencing style.

How about a sword which, when it wounds you, drains the life force because of new scientific developments which are designed to simulate dark magic...?

Just noticed there are no Necrons...

Because Necrons can not think for themselves, so you could not play a Necron character.
