CIW Government News
A leader has been decided upon. The Government has decided to promote General Philip Petin to Marshal and give him the new title of President of the Council, which effectively gives Marshal Petin control over the entire country. In his inauguration speech, Marshal Petin said the following: "I now take it upon myself to lead this country. My duty is one to protect the citizens of the CIW, and I must not flinch from it. The Republic cannot be fixed. It is time to start over."
The Government also assures Northern Australis that the Government will not discriminate against people based on race.
The Government would also like to state that with a proper leader, we are a legitimate government, and that the nation of Republicas Gloria WILL face being shelled to small debris particles by our far superior navy, should PM Brittany not acknowledge the Government.

The "council" which is led by Marshal Petin appears to be composed of fascists and war hawks. We cannot be sure either that the Marshal was elected democratically by the coup orchestrators, as Petin appeared to not be present at the coup. Maybe the election of a war hero and more moderate member will quiet the citizenry. Or the fact that he is nearly seventy implies the military has a nice puppet.
We are quite worried about the ambassador in the communist/socialist nations. Since the new government cut off relations with those nations, we are afraid that terrible things will happen to them. And they aren't to blame. We have yet to see if Marshal Petin will act on his promise to protect the citizenry, and indeed all citizens.
Our editor was quite flattered by the many foreign offers of arms, but we would like to stress that this is only a resistance paper. We are not trying to be anarchist. Besides, all it would resort to is the killing of innocent civilians. We would like to avoid that.
Our foreign correspondants have reported Vayzon just hired a hotel room in Winter Hollow. Our President is doing well, and he plans to write some editorials in the local Silvado newspaper.

The Diary of Philip Petin
Today was tumultuous indeed! I was at my home, enjoying a quick nap until several military commanders come knocking at my door. Saying I will be the new CIW leader! They argued it was 'democratic'. I only wanted to have a peaceful rest, but it seems I won't be getting any anytime soon. If it was intended that I protect the CIW people, so be it. Taking the easiest way is never how one accomplishes one's duty. Just like I said in my speech.
I don't remember much from today, except some military officials came into my new office with a petition. To reinstate the death penalty! Those five-star buffoons don't even realize what I would like to accomplish! Killing people is not going to solve things! So of course I rejected it. They came in again later, but I refused. Doing one's duty is not the easy path indeed.

For the safeguard the citizens of the CIW, the death penalty has been reinstated. To transform society ultimately into a better one, Marshal Petin has announced the beginning of a 'National Revolution', to rejuvenate national pride and spirit. "We now enter onto a path of a revolution on a nationwide basis. With this ambitious program, we will reawaken the long-past glory and power that the Confederacy of Independant Warlords has held," Petin said in a speech. The Marshal received a standing ovation.
Relations with socialist and communist countries will remain cut. This is our policy.

CIW Underground News
Oh woe! Today there was a brave protest in the city of Vezok. The protestors came from all walks of life, united under one common goal- the restoration of the old government and a return of the political rights held under the Vayzon administration. Nearly 10,000 people joined in. But then the terrible thing happened. Government troops arrived to stop the protest. One of our reporters was nearby how they brutally shot into the crowds, with soldiers, armored cars, and almost tanks. The poor protestors could not do anything but flee. We cannot be sure, but we think almost 500 people were killed. Is this the National Revolution Marshal Petin promised us?
We have finally sent an undercover reporter to the Sudooku mansion, and it the Count is forming some type of institution. Our reporter tried to ask part-takers, but they were all so secretive. We believe that the Government has not sponsored this, but we cannot be sure.
We are vey sad about Deb8ters statement, and hope it applies only to the current totalitarian government.
We would like to tell the nation of Silvado that we are interested, but then we would need to branch out to have a militant wing. We are currently only a bunch of illegal newspapers. We are unsure about targeting Marshal Petin, as he is very popular, in contrast to the rest of the government.

The Diary of Philip Petin
Today was very tiring. We spent the entire morning drafting up a National Revolution plan, which will be implemented over the course of four years. Not five years, as that would be communist, said a member. As long as the National Revolution succeeds, it is of no worry to me. I am especially proud that we included some type of sport program. Oh, won't it be excellent that everyone has powerful bodies. It is the first step to national greatness.
Around midday, my physician Bernard Nokama told me that there had been a protest to my leadership today. I asked my Premier, (he takes over should I be ill or busy with other things) Joseph Darrad about the event, but he said he never heard of such a thing. I don't know who to believe. He's an odd fellow, the Darrad. I think he lead a political party at one point.
I was disappointed to the Deb8ters statement. I would have wanted to return ties with the socialist nations, but Premier Darrad spoke out fiercely against that at a meeting. I suppose I will leave it at that.
I can only remember one other thing- at the end of the day, some officers came in with some petition. I remembered yesterday's event, and wanted them to just leave me alone. I just signed it. I don't even remember what it was about.
Dinner at least, was nice. Some medium-rare tenderloin, with a tad of sauce, and some salad.

Refugees from CIW
We've allowed a few ships of CIW Refugees who have left CIW because of the Facist Regime, only 2 made it to the docks, the rest were caught by the CIW Coast Guard and returned back to CIW. Although we aren't sure if we should allow them to become citizensof NA, we are making a vote either if they should be in refugee camps or become full citizens.

Military
The NA military is on the rise, more recruiting of men are seen and more production of FN FNC and AUG A3 Rifles and the Challenger II Tanks and the F-15 and Panavia Tornado Fighters are increasing. The NTGA (National Territorial Guard of Australis: The Army) has reported more troops from recruitment, the reasons of more troops and weapons is probably because of there membership in INTO/LENIN.

Aborigines not from Zealanders Rock have left finally after the Aborigines Day from June 4-6 is over. The day is to remember about Peace and Spirituality. Many people including P.M. Harrison Keating was there, mainly because there are not much issues involving with NA.

In other news... Prime Minister Joe has been making some request for laws which most of the Ministers disagree with, impeachment of Prime Minister Joe is on the table. Acting Prime Minister Brittany made no comment.

Harrison Keating enacted a law saying that all Aryan Organizations must leave NA or police force will come, the reason why Keating did this is that a few Jewish Immigrants were beaten up after arriving NA, also jewish homes were vandalized.
