Alrighty as I said in the Map section, I want to get this region moving.
I have drawn up a small plan and would be interested in the feedback.
Silvado's proposed plan-
1. Clean up the RPG thread and get the dead threads moved to archives or something because its rather messy and that could threaten to scare off newcomers. 2. We should promote forum activity alittle more...somehow 3. When are the next elections for positions? Because we need them to happen to give the re activity a jumpstart.
Its a pretty simple plan and alittle vague... but I think it gives us something to follow. What do you guys think?
Also is there an active RPG chief... And does that position still exsist? Because I'll step up for that as well. Also I won't be on tomorrow.

I am sorry about not getting the election polls up in time, but I had a period of internet outage unexpectedly. Anyway, they are up, but the position of Head Delegate has no contenders. We may have to have a by-election but there is no constitutional provision for such. If re-elected, I will be submitting a petition to the Supreme Court to figure out how to fill vacant positions when the elections are over. If not, I strongly suggest that whoever takes over the job of Head Senator do so, as elections are a HS responsibility.

as far as i remember, in these cases, the HS can appoint a provisional officials.

Is there anybody except Automaticz, Silvado, and I here? Where's Ironwolves, Owtopia, Kardas, and Debro?

no worries, I'm still here. I guess Ironwolves and Kazzerland are still here, but probably too busy to get on the forums (or they lost interest). Debro and Archaix are still active as I see them on the CSA forums. Owtopia however, seems to be gone.

Ah god why isn't nobody here anymore? Ironwolves and Kazzer better come back if we dont recruit more and more nations keep dying. I just have to leave if we reach to like 8 nations. And you know I dont want to leave. AAAAAHHH Debro do something to end this chaotic time of nations dying and nobody going to the forums!!!!!! and can somebody tell me why Owtopia left? for the eight time?

to be honest, i didn't had the time to recruit or to do anything in the region. I have around 15-20 mins per day for nationstates/related forums, and that's consumed by reading new posts on CSA/IN forums, and replying to them sometimes.
An effective recruiting campaign takes hours/day, from my summer experience. You need around 100 TGs/day to receive a steady influx of nations (3-4/day).
If a new nation see that a region is 'hyped'(new nations move there every day) they will happily follow. If they see massive exodus and emergency screams on the RMB, they won't come.
So if anybody's going to bring fresh blood to this region, please consider the above.
As an alternate route, we could consider a 'confederacy' with the CSA. What i mean? Why don't we use their forum, which is somewhat more active? LZ surely could make separate IN boards for the senate etc.

I've been thinking about the same thing for a while. We would need to import some important stuff though, like the Constitution and the majority of RPG topics

That's sounds good, although I don't know anything about CSA. The constitution would be important to move as Kardas said. The RPG is kind of a mess with everyone gone. I want to move stuff out but I don't know what half of the threads are about... Anyways, that's my two cents.

Can anybody please tell me why Owtopia left? Is it some sort of Area 51 secret or something? Also nice map you have Silvado. BTW ppl what about our Colonization Map?

@ Silvado: The CSA is one of our leftist allies, the Communist Socialist Alliance. Me, Debro and Archaix all have membership there already. As for RPG, I mean just the RPG thread, map thread, New World + Expeditions of active members, and Nation Stats of active members
@ Aegypto: please. nobody here has an idea of what has happened to Owtopia

to answer your CSA question Kardas, yes, they used to have an RPG section, but looks like it wasn't a big success there, so it has disappeared. Considering that most IN members are strong RPers, it would be a large gain for the CSA community as well.
We must think on this route, but it has several drawbacks.Remember, this site is entirely ours, and we can do whatever we want with it. If we move to the CSA forums, we probably have to accept the decisions of the CSA court for ovious reasons. Also, the CSA has a very open forum policy, that means there are no pw-protected boards.
So, first we need to have a consensus in this question.
