I have a map idea,
Instead of using a map we make up why dont we use a world map? The world has alot of good geography so it would be very interesting and probaly add to the rpg. In your nation you could either have 4 or 5 medium/small nations depending on size or 1 superpower nation (Large nation like us or china, Australia ect) and 2 other medium/small nations.
What do you think?

I would be willing to run the map, I think it should be that Your are allowed one of these two A Very Large Nation and Two Other Nations 5 Or 6 Non Large Nations Depending On Size The Very Large Nations Are Coloured Here,  Alaska would be split from the United states and the islands above russia would be shared between Greenland and Russia as shown. |

Actually since there are not alot of active people in RPG we could keep it like that for very large nations but if you are choosing all small it could probaly be more since there are alot of countries.

Yea I asked him a while ago to put me on the current map but he still hasn't gotten me on it >_<
Also, what might be better is if we use the world map but use different made up boundaries instead of current real life boundaries.

The reason i wanted a world map is because of its boundries, it would sort of ruin it for me if we changed it back to the big blobs. But for the little fidgety nations in europe they could all be one as well as whatever other choices the player wants |

Yea sumin' like that, although I still think some are too big but w/e.
If you wanted we could use like a risk version of the boundaries, it puts alot of the small ones together and spits up the big ones.

That reminds me, what do you all think of being able to take land from other nations during war (or buy land). Perhaps it would add to the war side of the RPG and maybe liven things up.

Yea thats the thing about rpg I don't like, their no set system for war, it's all just people saying I do this, I do that. Someone could just come in and be like I nuke everyone. game over, lol

I got a suggestion for RP conquering (well with the imaginary map): When you totally wipe out a nation you have to give atleast 1 region back to the conquered nation BUT that conquer nation is like your vassal. The vassal leader can control their nation but they have to listen to the "higher power". The Vassal nation can rebel, but you cannot have a rebellion after losing the war/a failed rebellion until 30 days have passed.
Also, I think the world rp should be a side rp, I'd hate to lose the current RP. Also splitting up Russia makes no sense, The rest of Russia is a wasteland so its not like they get a lot more of GDP... Superpowers should be the G8 nations (like Japan, Australia, US, Canada, etc). Also, group together Africa some more, Africa has too many countries.

We can sort that out later and you can basically make things up like we normally do but it would be nice if we could keep things like climate, north cold, south warm. I think our war system is ok but it needs alot of common sense, a war between the two halves of russia would probaly have a victor but in the process both nations would be totally destroyed so you can see it wouldnt be worth it. I'll post the map, i also have an idea for a change in Automaticz, so you can request spaces in the map. And about small countries, just post if you want an exeption made because i know there are lots of tiny ones so just post if you want that.

Yea but that doesn't solve the who and how of winning an rpg war...
Also, if we're just taking the spots with our nations I don't think the original real life nation's situation really applies like Russia being a wasteland in the eastern area....

Well im changing automaticz a bit and other nations could too, so be sure to read my new nation stats when i get to it  Also if you want to choose a real flag for your nation (there is a huge selection) You can get one at 3dflags.com, im using the canada one. But if you use one of theirs its totally free but you have to provide a link to them, i suggest put the link in your signature, thats what i'll do. |
