What makes a man? Mentally, I mean.

What makes a man? A true man must be able to look death in the eye and do not fear for himself, willing to die for him comrades. A true man is good to other beings, honest, fair, and charitable. A true man does not envy other people. A true man is good being himself and not wanting to act like some rich man. A true man will live and die according to his beliefs.

Ok, good.
'nother one: what's the most important of all the virtues?

Post by Republicas Gloria on Jan 3, 2008 18:05:04 GMT -5
Virtues of what? Virtues of the world? Gifts of the Spirit? If its virtues of the world: Wisdom; the smartest man can be smart but without wisdom, even the slightest have no common sense. The most faithful man can be faithful but he can possibly lose his virtues to a false prophet or a wrong turn in his religion (see Islam). The strongest man can live 200 years but without wisdom, can never give advice and never have the light to know what is truly good to do in the long run. Wisdom is the foundation of humanity, for without common sense from wisdom we would be dead before we evolved. Without us having enough Wisdom (only enough to survive) modern philosophy would not be made, what use is there to have a technological world but without a wise man to set down rules to say what would make the world work?

Ok, I can see that you're a Jesus lover so how about this one.
If God is all powerful, could he heat up a burrito sooooo hot that he himself could not eat it?

There is no suffering in heaven so burritos there would always be the best temperature for the person in question (in this case God), but if he came down on Earth to eat one he couldn't do that, burritos have their limit on how hot they can be.

Is there such a thing as too much cheese? If so, why?

Debro: What do you mean? Like something weird when trying to accomplish something?
Archaix: By too much cheese do you mean eating or owning? If so, yes to both. Eating too much of anything is bad for you, owning too much will clog your refridgerator and you wouldn't be able to fit the other foods.

Which, in you're opinion, is the more important of either a mother or a father, assuming that you have to pick pick one?

If today the temperature is 0 and it's going to be twice as cold tomorrow, how cold will it be?
Why doesn't glue dry in the bottle?

@casi and Straski this is not physics
@neo yes he was a true man, was he a good man? Him being good is up for debate but a true man stays true and lives and die by his beliefs a good example: Jesus.

So all wise man,
What happens to us when we die and what proof is there that this happens?
Lastly (and possibly the most important) how much wood COULD a wood chuck chuck if it could chuck wood?

Dgarten: give me proof that the world is round, maybe its a government lie, and its fake pictures? Proof is great when found, but sometimes you need to go with what you belief. Also the wood chuck one: It depends how long it chucks and how it feels./
Archaix: What do you mean by acceptable? I don't know much about him, explain. But we should accept all, we should embrace all sentient beings. (unborn babies are not considereed sentient, they cannot think and choose on their own).
