Amendment 1

The whole issue with the founder got me thinking and i thought of a new and clever way to run the founder.

Original text involving the founder

V. Founder
A. Rights
-Be a MOD on the forum
-Can veto any bill passed by senate that has less then 75% support of voters
-Give MOD status to anyone on the forum
-Can give out Pardons

And it be replaced by this;


V. Founder/Founding Nation
A. Rights & Job Duties
-Be a MOD on the forum
-Can veto any bill passed by senate that has less then 75% support of voters
-Give MOD status to anyone on the forum
-Can give out Pardons
B. Terms & requirements
-Must be have a minimum of 1,600 posts on the regional forum
-Must be a member of the Senate
-Has to be elected every other month on the 21st
-Cannot serve more than 6 months in a row
-Must pass on the password of the founding nation to the newly elected founder at the end of the term


I put in "-Must be have a minimum of 1,600 posts on the regional forum" to ensure that it only goes to veterans of IN.

Also having the founder elected would assure that it remains in the hands of active nations, and through many hands.

If we keep it with 3 or so nations control it, then in reality their be no 'real' founder and in which case we should change the current 'founder' section because it gives out the ability to give out Pardons, make anyone a forum MOD, and veto.

It seems unclear to me weither all three of the people would have all of these abilities(which to me seems extreme) or none having them.

And no Auto this isn't an attempt to have me as founder again, if passed I have no intentions of running nor would I be elected if I did.

Oh shut up Auto, i'm trying to get things going again.

This is a good idea, and regardless if we want to go this Route the issue of founder should be looked at because what we have in the code and what we're doing is different.

Plus, no where in NS is there a region that elects their founder. I think
electing our founder would be more democratic too, that's what you were fight for yes?

i think the founder was threatened as an emergency "tool", not as a real power. The problem is, that a wrong founder could easily trash the region.

True that's why I put in "-Must be have a minimum of 1,600 posts on the regional forum" to ensure that it only goes to veterans of IN. And having them elected would allow us to elect only those we trust.

I think having the founder elected would be more democratic, and make us stand out more.

I mean, really, no region has their founder elected, we could be the first.

And i'd like to re-bring up from my early post

If you guys don't want to elect the founder, fine but I don't think what we have and what we're doing matches and should be changed to match.

to be honest, an elected founder sounds fine for me. It could be a "presidential" post or something.

But, i believe we have more important things to discuss first

I'd like to make a few constitutional reforms myself. I agree with voting for the founder by the way.
Anyway, I'd like to propose that people should be allowed to hold multiple government positions in times of in-activity and give more power to the elected head delegate. I'm sure I was thinking of a few others but I can't remeber them at the moment.

it's already in the "code". When we have less than the neccessary candidates, the head senator has the option to appoint candidates without opposition(e.g.:without a vote), and people can hold multiple offices too, until someone call for an election.(These, appointed officials are only "acting officials")

Hmm, I need to read up on the IN code again. It seems I've missed out on a few important pieces.

The forum moving decision affects the entire region. The more people's opinions we get the better.
