Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Though it might break Auto's heart, and turn Nibu against me, I propose that we fuse The International Nations and New Sorvun.
With all the inactivity each of us were part of I believe that administration of this region has become ineffective. I was already asked by (I think) Foolands whether we considered joining them. By then it was still the Nibu dynasty's start and we were all quite active so I turned down the offer.
but now it's looking attractive. New Sorvun also admitted that they had a crash in region members, but not in as great an extent as we do.
I'll set up the poll as more people come online

Auto, I realize the region is special to you, but me, Kazzerland, Nibu and you are the only ones active. Since september little has happened here. a lot of us were gone.
Besides, should we fuse, I will make sure we do so on equal terms.
Only a scotsman or englishman would know what 1707 stands for! you should have mentioned anschluss instead

They were looked down ond alot of them hated it. So basicallyyy thats what could happen if we fuse, if we do fuse then we'll loose our identity and the region will be all but ruined. I know we are inactive but as always everything is too busy for much activness on IN, most people i think have either school work or work to contend with aswell as other things to do on the internet, this leaves little time for many things like IN so at times its natural to go through periods of inactivess, i think durning the summer is the time of most activness. So joining with the other region is a short term fix, where appealing, will loose us alot of the things we love. For example say bye bye to our unique roleplay and government system and say hello to being ruled by someone else. |

Well, we'll put this on hold. Nibu says he's active and is doing some recruiting. I'd also like to tell him I'm NOT leaving like Aegypto did. He left out of frustration. I intend to be constructive. I also place my faith in our government, meaning that if we pull off this fusion, I intend that all, or none of us do it.
Anyway, Automaticz, with fuse I meant that New Sorvun and IN become one big region, and I do not intend for us to lose our power. You must have missed that in the previous post.
I disagree with you on the fact that two regions becoming one is a short term solution. The total of active, experienced people is much larger. I believe this will ultimately work on both our favors.
And, should we fuse, I intend on hammering out a system of government which both regions agree on. And I truly intend on bringing the RPG and all stuff asociated with it (hell, I'll bring all our fiction works and COIN with us)

When small nations face problems they dont simply merge into other countries, we are unique and i'd like to keep it that way. |

I want no less Can't really blame me, alot of unions have broken up, Nationstates is a political simulator, im usuing political examples. Soviet Union Yougoslavia Pakistan and Bangladesh Denmark and Iceland And lots more, so basically a union will only lead to a want for independence. |

I'd just like to be in an active region, with relatively decent RP. That's really all I care about at this point. Personally, I don't see a huge issue with the merger. However, if you guys don't want to do it, I suppose we don't have to do it. I simply hope whatever we choose is what's best in the long run.

Ahh, so people are active again then? I've been in-active since my new gaming computer's arrived, wasting my time on games like Team Fortress 2 and C&C Red Alert 3 etc. It may be a weak excuse to some but bloody hell, TF2 is addictive  I don't see a problem with the merging of IN and New Sorvun. It's not as if IN's getting anywhere in the state it's in now... |
