Only military. Guns in the hands of the ordinary police only induces further anger from whoever they're fighting.

W/only military that in my opinion perfectly sets up evil gov'ts.
all that would have to happen is decide crime is to high and shoot criminals on sight and then the world would go crazy.
The 1st line is what I really think the rewst im just rambling on.

Oh yeah also limited types cause' you wont want normal people (or criminals) to have bazookas or grenades or machine guns.(unless your an outstanding citizen... surved in military or police for a long long time)(and even then all those should have limits to # of weapons and quality)

people do have the right to bear arms, but not machine guns or assault weapons.

The right to bear arms is a terrible ammendment. You give a man the right to bear arms, and he'll one day bear it against somebody.

But if guns are outlawed then only outlaws will have guns. Then what do we do? Wait to die at the hands of criminals because they're the only ones with weapons?

But if guns were outlawed then it would be harder to get guns and the crinimals who had guns would be put in jail, in the uk guns are banned

Yeah, we knife each other instead. EVERYBODY WINS!
But seriously, grievances happen, and if someone wants to kill someone, they'll attempt to kill them. Is this easier with a gun, or with any other instrument that's harder to kill with? If the Virginia Tech shooter (sorry to bring up this over-used example) had a knife, would he have killed 30-odd people?

True but, if citizens don't have guns then who does? The police and military. Then who is really in control? The government and that promotes corruption. "Absolute power corrupts absolutely."

This is nice, of course guns should be banned, but if u want an AK, you will find one in 2 days. Or even the AK will find you.

Interesting sidenote: I once knew a guy who told me he'd paid £30 to a friend of his (who looked quite dodgy to me) -£5 for a 'nade', and £25 for an AK 47. Needless to say, he never received either.
@ deutsch: I doubt that the army would be turned on the people in either the UK or the USA. In a country where this is likely, I condone firearms.

side note 2: 1000 euros for an AK and you will receive it. Yea, in europe. Say, the ppl fed up with the gov...they will grab their shotguns and shoot the ass of the officials in a democratic country. It must be a joke..

Fireworks are always expensive...a normal family in England can't live without one.

Another interesting factoid: A friend of mine -an asian kid whose family originated from Pakistan- went to holiday to Pakistan, and thought nothing odd in bringing back a few fireworks. Of course, the authorities weren't amused.

No, fireworks that people set off for recreation, not actual weapons (although there's gunpowder in them, of course).

Border guards always stop me at airports...i don't know why.Maybe they think that i'm a gangster...When i was back from Holland, they took even my shoes. The order was: "STAY HERE!" lol, where can i go without my shoes?! In Sweden, they took out the batteries from my camera. To not speak about my girlfriend's panties ;D
