Cuz education systems were designed for "normal" people. With "normal" opportunities, and "normal" financial background.

Minorities often doesn't have these, so they doesn't have equal opportunities. AA is an attempt to compensate this.

And basicly we want this special threatment. Think about it.

You have millions of under-educated, hopeless ppl. This is a loss for the economy(Their abilities aren't utilized). Probably, they will be criminals(cuz they need the cash too) ---> you need to increase the funds of the police,jails,etc.
The state will have to support these families(again, loss)

And the financial background of these "services"? Yes, taxes. Your money, via redistribution.

AA is basicly a preventive action, and it can be efficient
