Never. Lifelong with no chance of parole works (and you can't revive innocents from death)

I know how alot fof people say 'life in jail is worst than death' maybe so but I'd rather see these rapest killed and not waste tax payers money on them.
I've alwas believed if you murdered someone your useless, doesn't matter if you were drunk or retarded, you kill you should be killed.

So what, I hardly think 9 murders should live so 1 not-guilty doesn't die. Assuming 10% of the people on death row are not guilty. And now adays we can be more accurate then in the pasted.

"Well, choicing your own fate is one thing, but were talking about the life of another... Does a parent hav the right to kill their child?" by you.
Does ANYBODY have the right to kill an INNOCENT?
the biggest problem with death penalty it's nature. When you execute somebody it's irrevocable. The jurisdiction isn't perfect, we all know that, the judges are only humans, too.
The second point is, how can u forbid homicide when u kill lawfully?

I believe abortion is wrong because your killing an innocent child, and believe in the death penalty to kill the evil. I find it to be very ironic the most liberal against the death but for abortion. It make more sense to be for or against both, or the way I feel.
And of course their are always exceptions, for like in war or 'lawfully.'

of course, Nibu only the way you feel, lol.
u haven't answered my question....
in case of abortion, the life of the mother(and the whole family, if presented) is affected, so you're limitin her freedom when u forbid abortion.
in case of 'lawful' murder - well, until you can kill an innocent - it will limit the most elementary freedom, the freedom to live.
Liberty - is one of the most principal values of the classical liberal theory.

'limitin her freedom' I hardly think that's true. I can't kill people who bother me, does that mean my freedoms are being limited? People need to learn their are consequences for their actions. Why worry about getting pregnant? I'll just abort it, why worry if I kill someone? If I do get caught the worst that can happen is I get life.
I believe in liberty, and part of that is consequences, laws are in place for a reason, and these days you get a slap on the hand if you break them. Personally I think liberal as little kids, don't want to have to do anything, what the government to give them everything and if they break a rule, they don't want a punishment.

'limitin her freedom' I hardly think that's true. I can't kill people who bother me, does that mean my freedoms are being limited? isn't this topic...isn't only "bother" you, this event will affect your whole life. The embryo haven't got mind, character, etc in the form a child has. Personally i think it's a very sad thing...but it's necessary. People need to learn their are consequences for their actions. Indeed. why worry if I kill someone? If I do get caught the worst that can happen is I get life. U get a lot of shits like years, long years in a prison which is a hell. Believe me, i've worked in one. But again, please answer my question. Do anybody has the right ot kill an innocent? I believe in liberty, and part of that is consequences, laws are in place for a reason, and these days you get a slap on the hand if you break them. Personally I think liberal as little kids, don't want to have to do anything, what the government to give them everything and if they break a rule, they don't want a punishment. Locke,Rousseau,Smith,Franklin, Jefferson,Kant. Those poor-poor lil kids. Maybe you know that the liberal theory was the ideology behind the french and the american revolution. The word "liberal" is not only representing a party in your country but an ideology which has driven the world more or less. Parties can be efficient or not, can represent their ideology or not. You should learn some respect, or at least some tolerance - the truth is you can be wrong, just as anybody else.

I'm only talking about the liberal party in the US, not the french and the american revolution.
If one innocent has to die along with 99 murders, then yes. I'ts sad to see any innocent get something they shouldn't, but life in jail would be just as bad, or atleast that what some believe.
'The embryo haven't got mind, character, etc' well this is where we split ends, I consider an embryo as a life, while others believe it to be... honestly I don't see how it isn't seen as a life, but that just opinion.

I think a state that can only choose between neoconservatism and liberalism is a poor one.
Nibu: So you believe that killing an embryo is wrong, but killing a prisoner in jail is right simply because it saves money? A prisoner has more right to live because they have lived, an embryo hasn't. It isn't human, it's human potential.

I think a state that can only choose between neoconservatism and liberalism is a poor one. yeah, sadly my country is on this way....we have a "socialist party" which is, strange, but neoliberal(pro-market). And a "Young Democratic Civic Party" which is a populist, a bit nationalist conservative party. (and all representatives are over 45, so young, yeah.) Several others, but they haven't got a chance. that was what i wanted to say. Damn i will have to live in an english-speakin country to improve my english

Yeah, the name is 'socialist ' of that party. Currently, they are cuttin the funds of the healthcare& social system. From 2008, all ppl must pay for higher education(collages/universities). Privatizing national properties like transportation, etc.
The OECD said they're very effective. I don't think so. But, still the best option here.

You might think of an embryo as 'non-human' personally I never understood what. It's like saing killing a tagpol isn't as bad as killing a frog, and that's going to extrems.
And I'm not saying 'simply because it saves money' i'm say because it's the rigfht thing to do. If someone killed my whole family, I don't think i'd be happy to see him live. Or any murder or rapest for that matter. You think a murder has more of a right to live than an embryo? I mean really, you kill a poor embryo, not even given the chance to live, and let murders and rapest live on. It sounds backwards to me.
