Whether the puppet nation idea stays or not, I want to keep this thread here, 'cause my second nation is so different.
A short History of Crazy Gauls
One of the oldest nations in the world, having kept itself together(although occupied) by the Roman Empire of International Nations. They lived in relative peace throughout history in isolation until discovered again by the modern world. The people of the nation know what is going on outside the world, but prefer mostly to live in a 50 years BCE style. Thus the biggest changes in the nation were the introduction of a sewage system, toilets and making helmets, armor and shields from bulletproof metal. Note the nation's name dates back to the Roman years, as legionaries stationed there referred to them as crazy gauls.
Economy
The economy of Crazy Gauls, although with the Gaulish Sestertius is still very much based on barter. Notable exports are weapons (the ancient types), antique, fish (a controversial issue there), and menhirs. The nation is largely self-sufficient- the only major thing they lack is metal.
Religion and Mysticism
Everyone in Crazy Gauls follows, up to this day, the old Gaulish religion, with the gods Toutatis, Belenos and many others. Druids retain their role as important members of society, not onyl because of their wisdom, but also their knowledge of magic potions. The most well known one makes the drinker invincible (but not invunerable).
Government
The government can be classified as a semi-democracy, where the Head of State (called a Chief) is not elected and retains significant power, yet the people hold the other half of power and participate in elections. The current leader is Chief Vitalstatistix LXXXII.
Military
Army:
There is no standing army, yet every male member in the country is part of the army in Crazy Gauls. A variety of weapons (the sword, the spear, the bow, the axe, the knife) are used, yet to date, the weapon of choice is still the fist. When the fighting is imminent, everyone will drink from a magic potion of invincibility that the druid has repared. This gives the Gauls their amazing strength in combat. Vehicles and siege are unheard of in the country.
Navy:
The navy has about 5 ships, all of them Unhygienix LXXXII's fishing boats. These are always filled with Gauls who drank the magic potion and prefer to enter and scuttle opposing ships. Despite the fact that they are wooden rowboats, they are fast due to the rowing skills of the Gauls under the effect of the potion.
Air Force:
One unit- a rooster whose ancestor defeated a Roman eagle.
Important People in Crazy Gauls
Oddly, all of these people has LXXXII after their names, indicating they are the 82nd of their generation
Chief Vitalstatistix- Head of Government. Commonly seen standing on a shield carried by 2 people.
Asterix- Extremely diplomatc, Asterix is well known and well liked by everyone. His ancestor is extremely famous.
Obelix- Probably the strongest man in International Nations. Unofficial head of the military. Takes insult when called 'fat'.
Unhygienix- Chief provider of the country's fish. These fish, called smelly by Fulliautomatix and several others have been a popular point of debate in the country and are a common source of conflict.
Fullioautomatix- well-known blacksmith. Hates fish (see above) and bards.
Getafix- the chief Druid of the country. Knows a lot of magic potions but is unwilling to give the secret under all circumstances.
Cacofonix- a well known bard. He's liked better when he doesn't sing. Several ancestors have been known to make it rain or install fear when they sang. Popular opinion of his singing is bad.
Misc
The national sport of the country is boar hunting.
Adults in Crazy Gauls are known to eat an entire wild boar at dinner. Obelix LXXXII currently holds the record for most boars in a certain time. The country is also very environmentally friendly.
Foreign Relations
None with all nations, although people hold the Kingdom of Vandal Barbarians in high regard, as Romans were their common enemy.
Credit to Rene Goscinny and Albert Uderzo for making one of the best (and my favorite) comic series in the world
