lol, no, what we do is we give everyone a budget (normally we would already have a budget from a NS calculator but so far no one here uses on so we can't do that as far as i know, and some shops open up, you lose money by buying stuff, you gain money by selling this, but you would have to invest in factories and time etc. Its alot of investment for a proper roleplay shop but its hell alot of fun.

Hm, sound interesting(despite the fact that my nation has 'Imploded' economy)
Sounds to me as a stock market, or something like that. Do you have some rules for this?

Well its not a stock market as you can buy airplanes, The Lexicon Taco Bell ( which i am holding hostage), and all kinds of other stuff. I don't know what the rules are going to be, thinking that you have to register to use it so that we can figure out your how much credit your going to get on here.

Ok, in that case I would like to purchase a Hercules transport plane, carrying matches.

lol, well, i'm trying to figure out how to handle this, cause on the lexicon and other sites we would use a nationstates calculator for our money, and for example i would be able to buy thousands of hercules carrying matches. But the problem on this site is you guys don't have an official calculator with your NS country and so you don't have an kind of economy to use on here or even on the RPG so it complicates things. Though I think having everyone who registers have 1 million dollars starting out is good, and you'll get bonus money for all sorts of things on RPG and everywhere else, I just have to figure out how to do it and I need help so any ideas or volunteers?

I'd be happy to keep a spreadsheet tracking purchases. I can keep the spreadsheet in a gmail spreadsheet account that everyone can access to see and enter changes. That way, we can have trade going between nations (unless there's already a trade page?). Although, if that's the case, I would think we would want to think in the billions, rather than millions, and allow each country to self-regulate how much money they think they are worth.
These are all random thoughts and may not work at all...
I guess we'll have to have a post where people "join" this area so that they can start trading. They can list what types of factories they have, resources they have and materials they make in that post.
Any better ideas? Would this work? Too complicated?

Everyone who would register would begin with an ex amount of money and I think it would be at 1 million dollar. Then we can slowly increase it and make some NPC buyers so that people would make money and so that it would grow. Its complicated, and we have to create a system, and I have a plan *usually that means run*

lol, i know that one, thats what they did in the lexicon, and whenever you posted you got more money, but i doubt it could start at 1 million for 0 post, and it would make things harder on a admin to make sure everyone got their money, its easier to keep the money thing in here though harder on me, but i can live, so anyone with suggestions?

maybe you could take a countries population and multiply it by it's economy rating.
like crumbled/destroyed = 1x
basket case = 2x
and so on...

I think that's a great idea to determine how much each should get, if we want to be semi-realistic. To me, it seems that one million each would be nice...but just a little too unrealistic for us to start at the same place. I don't mind having less than others (especially since my population is small). How then would nations increase the amount of money they have? And would national debts and such be part of the role play?

How about everyday you get taxes. Certain regions of the world will be "rich regions" (Which would be the middle of the map) while the other areas (north and south of that region) is not as rich due to it being richer in everything, but because of the extreme conditions the world is more prone to natural disasters there while the north and south have 3/4 of the income but the risk of natural disasters is 1/4 left.
To make taxes you get all "infrastructure levels". Every region starts at level 1 except your capital region which has 3. To upgrade them is to pay half of the level, every level yields #billion USD. So a level 1 place is 1 billion, so upgrading would cost 500 million. Then each nation will need to make a resonable price for what they would buy (like weapons). The rich region would get a increase but would be forced to have natural disasters happen more often by the rpg chief.

Well, a standard new nation, with 5 million population would receive almost noting. That means, new nations wouldn't involve in the rpg....I say we should leave the population out of this.
