On the Founding of Khazad-Dum

All we currently know about the ancient nation of Khazad-Dum, is that untold years ago, a stout, strong, fierce people lived in the Mountains of Moria. There, they mined for a living, selling their goods to other peoples, and exisiting in a stable society of moderate social equality. All were happy. Then, a great war erupted because of the treacherous actions of Falgaar son of Solvan, who stole another Morian's (as the people of The Kingdom of Khazad-Dum are known) iron work for his own profit. Upon being caught, a feud erupted between Falgaar's family (a very large and powerful one) and the rest of the Khazad-Dum. Until recently, it was believed that the Morians killed each other off. But recently, these strong-willed people have declared their sovereignty once more, so that they may restore the glory of there ancient ancestors. Though they are significantly more technologically advanced than their ancestors, the people of Khazad-Dum (also the name of the capitol city) still rely primarily on mining and metal craft as well as some heavy industry for income. Little else is known about this mysterious, but rising power. Hopefully, The Kingdom of Khazad-Dum will have a future far brighter than even its glorious past.
