I've realized that my old stats thread was a complete mess, so I'm gonna bring everything over into this thread.
A Short History of the CIW (Pre-IN)
Since Medieval Times, the Confederacy of Independent Warlords was just a group of states, each ruled by a warlord. By the 1800’s, after centuries of peace and war, only 11 large states remained on the mainland, and peace prospered for a while. Around the early 1900, war erupted again, but this time, one of these states defeated the others and united the country. This nation was called the United Warlords, which lasted 56 years. However, after serious a disagreement, a large civil war, fought between the west and the east of the peninsula was fought. The country was renamed the Confederacy of Independant Warlords, and the government was a cruel Stalinist dictatorship. After the dictator’s death, a bloodless revolution took place inside the government, and Count Sudooku became leader of the country. Although the government still wields considerable power, its benevolent nature allowed peace to settle in the country. However, only one political party, the centrist UPM (Union for a Popular Movement) is allowed in the CIW (the Stalinist DCPU has been outlawed). Under Sudooku, civil rights have also slowly been increasing.
Geography
As it is spread out over 3 regions, the geography of the CIW is very varied, ranging from the grassy planes of the Archaot Region, to the clean, forested Ehlek Isle to the mountains and plains of the Onewa Peninsula.
The CIW Mainland is mostly flat, although there are mountains in the northeast, which is also the region's main source of fresh water. The countryside still bears some scars from ancient battles, although these are starting to disappear. Most of the country's pollution also comes from here, as it is very industrialized.
Ehlek Isle, settled by the CIW in 1712, has vast forests and extremely clean fresh water. A lot of wood objects from the CIW came from these forests. The island suffers from little pollution.
The Onewa Peninsula, settled in 1905 ranges from grasslands to mountains to desert and plains. There are a lot of hills here, and the country's ores come mostly from the mountain ranges here.
Kardas Dragons
Kardas Dragons are 4-metre tall monstrosities that live mainly on the south of the Archaot Region. They constantly generate a concussive force inside of itself and can then release it. The power of this force is dependent on how long it is kept in the body, but too much concussive energy will cause the Dragon to explode. The Kardas Dragon is also capable of flight, despite its proportionally small wings and bulky physique. Kardas Dragons are carnivores.

Bios
Count Sudooku- The old charismatic ex-leader of the Confederacy of Independant Warlords. He has a final say on all of the country's affairs, but that rarely is a problem as a result of his benevolent nature. He likes doing puzzles and fencing.
General Grevious- Holds the title Commander of Confederate Forces, making him the highest military official in the country (aka has control over the military and the national intelligence agency). An excellent strategist, this has gained him the nickname "Devious Grevious". Ironically, this nickname is the only thing he doesn't know about and everyone else does. He likes swordfighting, and his famous for his temper.
John Vayzon- Sudooku's Minister of Internal Affairs, which is basically Minister of Finance, Education and others lumped together. Although extremely shrewd, he has had outbreaks of what his opponents call insanity. He likes spiders and Kardas Dragons. He is also described as unorthodox and obnoxious.
Thomas Kopaka- the CIW minister of Foreign Affairs and the most important diplomat of the country. Kopaka is known to be aloof at times, but he is known for his cold demeanor.
Characteristics of Inhabitants
People of the CIW are generally proud, down-to-earth and generally share the belief (abandoned by most of the other countries) that war is glorious. Nevertheless, they know war should just be a last resort. They distrust the extreme left in their country, although they tolerate socialist nations.
Economy
The CIW is one of the last capitalist countries in International Nations, as the people deemed communism to be a failure (due to the previous dictator's Stalinist policies). Although the economy is very strong, the government is looking at more sources of Green energy and getting rid of what nuclear power they have left. Care is also taken to not hurt the environment, which has flourished after the dictator's death.
Military of the CIW
The flag of the CIW Military is a stylized swooping Kardas Dragon as seen from the side, with its behind it, and its claws reaching out. This is surrounded by a hexagon on a navy blue background. (Like the GDI emblem of Command & Conquer, but replace the hawk with a Kardas Dragon)
Army- The army remains an important branch of the CIW, surpassed only by the CIW navy. The CIW fields a diverse selection of infantry, but prefers mechanized vehicles over infantry.
Infantry
All CIW Infantry are equipped with high-quality weapons and reasonably strong body armor. Both CIW training programs and body armor are inferior to that of Kazzerland though. Infantry is divided into six main classes currently, according to the weapons they carry. All CIW soldiers receive rudimentary training with all weapons, after which they may (usually) choose to further train themselves with a weapon of their choice. There are a couple other groups though:
Troopers: These infantry units carry Fireblast weapons, the standard rapid-firing assault rifle of the CIW. as with all CIW troops, the units are well armored. They are equipped with a bayonet knife.
Riflemen: These units carry Watershock weapons, a mid-range scoped semi-automatic rifle.
Shotgunners: These units carry Airshot weapons, a shotgun that grows weaker over long distances. They also carry 2 knives to make them excel even more in close-combat, though they aren't bad at a distance either.
Rocket Infantry: These units carry Stonesmash weapons, a type of rocket launcher with a medium blast radius. They are very good at destroying armored vehicles.
Grenadiers: These units carry Earthburst weapons, a launcher which fires grenade-like objects that can be manually detonated. These are dangerous weapons and have a large blast radius, but also reload slowly.
Snipers: These units carry Icecrack sniper rifles, currently the weapon with the most powerful-quality zoom feature. Their weapons, although lethal, are slow to reload.
Commando: Rarely seen on the battlefield, CIW commandos are the very top of CIW infantry. Given the best body armor and tough training program with an unusually high dropout rate, even when starting with the CIW's best soldiers, commandos are trained to expertise in all weapons, but usually come with silenced .50 caliber assault rifles. Which they fire left-handed. Commandos are also equipped with a supply of C4s which they may use to take out buildings, or anything else really. They are also given a theoretical course on the use of 'Verbal Quips' (Bond One Liners), of which they are the undisputed masters.
Tahnok Flamethrowers: Rarely seen on the battlefield, these units are called in difficult situations, usually against a heavily entrenched enemy.
Cordak Machine Gunners: The two work in pairs to set up a heavy machine gun. One fires it while the other feeds the ammo. There's usually sandbags defending their position too.
Vehicles and Cavalry
Carabine Armored Personnel Carrier: The current APC in the CIW army. Armed with a machine gun, there is also a port allowing passengers to fire, though explosive or flame weaponry is forbidden to be used.
Nassaur Tank: the standard tank in the CIW army. It has a main 360 degrees rotating turret that has can fire missiles or shells and has a machine gun. The tank is very well armored, most of the armor being on the front. Soldiers can also catch a lift on the outside of the vehicle. It bears similarity to the British Challenger 2 tank.
Ruydter ATV A fast enclosed buggy, usually equipped with Missiles and a mortar.
Rocket Artillery Vehicle (RAV) The new long range siege vehicle of the CIW. It takes a while to deploy its series of missiles, but the missiles possess a long range.
Kardas Dragon Riders: More ceremonial than a real fighting unit, the well-armored KDR rides an armored Kardas Dragon to unleash its destructive concussive force blast on the battlefield. The Dragons are huge, and inherantly tough. The KDR is rarely seen on the battlefield but is used as an elite guard.
Navy- Because the CIW is made of three different masses of land, the navy is the most important military branch of the CIW. It has an unusually high amount of battleships for a modern fleet, but also possesses a large number of aircraft carriers, destroyers and submarines.
Kardas-class Battleship: These large ships are fast for their size. They are good all-purpose ships, sometimes called Frigates. Also capable of launching nuclear missiles, but the CIW has a no-nuke policy.
Fenrakk-class Destroyers: These ships excel in the destruction of submarines and other sea targets. They are faster than most destroyers. Can launch cruise missiles, but the Kardas-class Battleships launch those more often.
Gahlok-class Anti-Air destroyers: these ships excel in the destruction of air targets, be it aircraft or missiles. Stealth aircraft have proved to be a problem though. These ships have a medium speed
Bordakh-class Cruisers: These ships although somewhat slow, use their powerful missiles and shells primarily to strike targets on the shore. The Cruiser class is becoming obsolete, their role being taken by the Kardas-class Battleship.
Sudooku-class Battleships Only two of these ships have been made, the larger one being the Kaleesh. These huge ships are the pride of the CIW navy. Despite their all purpose nature, these ships, with sufficient cover, can repel nearly all offensives.
Nocturn-class submarines: The standard submarine of the CIW navy. Their hulls are slightly more resistant than most submarines, but since they aren't nuclearly powered, are used most for defense and regional scouting. They can go lower than most electric subs and sustain more damage at the cost of a slower speed.
Hydraxon-class Nuclear Submarines: Due to the CIW's general disdain of nuclear power, there aren't that many of these ships. They can stay underwater for a very long time and are quiet too.
Maxilos-class aircraft carriers Although these arcraft carriers are slightly slower than other ones, these ships actually have some missiles and turrets for defense. It can carry about the same amount of planes as normal ones do.
Air Force- The CIW's previous leader was afraid of flying and refused upgrade the CIW's air-force. After several years of effort, the CIW air-fleet has been modernized and is of reasonable quality, but is numerically inferior compared to other nations.
Air Force
Geonos Jet Fighters: The standard fighter of the CIW. Though a bit outdated, It is equipped with top-notch missiles and machine guns.
Keelerak Strategic Bombers These bombers are very similar to the B-52.
Vorzakh Stealth Bombers: Due to cost, there are less of these than the Keelerak bombers. They are faster than most stealth bombers, but slightly less armored.
Matau Helicopter Gunship: Very similar to Apache helis. Often loaded with troops to give ground cover, usually with the two machine guns stationed there.
Orcahm Transport Chopper: Bears similarity to the Chinook. The CIW aerial workhorse, used to deploy additional reinforcements.
I hope you like it, if you have any suggestions please say so. I am not a military genius and most of these things have been based off of Rise of Nations and Tiberium Wars GDI units as well as Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds ships.
