How could you ever even refer to wikipedia as a halfway decent source, is what I'm wondering.
Our school blocked the site because of its irrelivance and because people would go online and trash the site for fun. If you put wiki in a bibliography, you will fail. I mean if you actually believe Dick Nixon and the Floppy Cheeks was a classic rock band consisting of one member in the 1930's, with their one hit wonder "Highway to Hell," then by all means have fun with wikipedia.
Alright this question is much easier: Who was the first democratically elected president of Russia?

Or, on the other hand, you can just use your common sense and stick to everything that's been cited.
...Yeltsin?

He wasn't president, as far as i know...
EDIT: for the wiki,of course you will not use that when you write a paper, but when you want to know who is Eugeniusz Molski, for example.

Yeltsin is right.
How the hell would you use common sense when you're looking something up?

ok, you have a point. Indeed, not from wiki. But i believe wiki isn't that bad. This is the downside of its nature;everybody can edit it. But in general it gives a good picture. When you really want to know something, accurately, you will use a real source. But if you want something right now, just to know what it is....wiki is a good option.

Last time I went to wiki I edited a page on mules. Most scientists are unaware west african mules are genetically born with three legs. The fourth leg matures shortly after birth.
